ABOUT MEG
Massage has always been an important part of my life: first as a competitive D1 athlete battling injury, later as a marketing executive combating stress, and ultimately as a human being seeking to balance her energies & heal her body + heart.
My connection to source is synonymous with my connection to my body, but this is a lesson I had to learn the hard way.
Reconstructive surgery on my shoulder, a broken ankle, stress & trauma related postural imbalances drove me to find solutions. Massage, energy therapies, chakra work + deep personal work helped me unpack and heal.
Through this process, Tidal Bodywork was born.
In 2017, I graduated from the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy and completed my MBLEX exam in the United States. My modalities include: Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial, trigger point release, facilitated stretch techniques, hydrotherapy, Craniosacral, the Lauterstein deep massage method, Thai, Shiatsu & Gua Sha.
I am currently studying the fascial meridians, polarity therapy & various plant medicines for healing purposes.
THE EXPERIENCE
Tidal Bodywork is located at the shady, secluded end of the beach in Cangrejal, Playa Samara. The rancho (aka 'Malokita') was built from the back-property trees & driftwood gifts brought by the sea in the rainy season of 2019.
It's here, fully immersed in nature, that we pull from the elements to address the physical - emotional - mental - energetic bodies through holistic, therapuetic treatments. Here we give gratitude to the earth for grounding us, to water for teaching us about flow & creativity, to fire for motivating us with purpose and to air for breathing lightness into our hearts.
